Final Reflections

      1   When Words or Feelings are too Much Harper Boege   I’ve gained many things from this class, mainly how to help someone through dance movement therapy and the power it has to help someone else. When I first started this class I had no idea what dance movement therapy entailed as I have never taken a dance class and this was outside of my comfort zone. Now looking back on it, dance movement therapy is a powerful way for people to be able to express themselves when words may be hard to use. DMT is an alternative or similar to art (like painting) therapy. I believe that this form of therapy is very beneficial to people to gain control of their body as well as express how they feel when words or feelings are too much for someone to express in other forms. I think it's beneficial to all age groups and every challenge someone may be facing. It is a cost free way to work out emotions and express yourself.
